• All areas of adult and paediatric hand surgery, with a particular interest in peripheral nerve surgery, reconstructive wrist surgery and and arthroscopy

• the assessment and development of surgical operative skills

• biomechanical assessment of novel fracture fixation methods

• development of ergonomic and efficient surgical instruments

• image intensifer functional tomography

• tendon repair techniques

• the use of ultrasound to enhance surgical instrumentation
