Macquarie Hand Therapy is a private hand therapy practice located at the new Macquarie University Hospital. It is co-located with several leading Sydney hand surgeons and aims to deliver specialist clinical services to referring doctors and patients in the northern Sydney area.

The practice is located in the Macquarie University Clinic Building and provides hand therapy services for people with disorders of the hand and upper limb, including the provision of splints, casts and assistive devices to enhance recovery.

Assoc Prof Anne Wajon, PhD, AHT (AHTA), MBA (MGSM) is the principal hand physiotherapist. With more than 25 years’ experience in treating hand and upper limb conditions, she is currently President of the International Federation of Societies for Hand Therapy (IFSHT).

The practice is staffed by extremely experienced hand therapists, who have specialised in treating the hand and upper limb for many years.  Consultations are generally available Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm, by appointment.

Macquarie Hand Therapy offers HICAPS for immediate private health fund rebate, sends SMS reminders of appointments, and will comply with WorkCover guidelines for patients injured at work.

We are also happy to liase with your family doctor, surgeon, insurance company or rehabilitation provider in relation to your management, but will do so only with your prior agreement.

No referral is necessary for physiotherapy services unless the case is covered under Workers Compensation, Third Party Insurance or DVA.
